Bath
pool
November 2008

I recently visited Bath pool, my
first visit to the pool.
Only the two sides are accessable
from the road which gives plenty of room to fish.
I chose one of the landing stages
on the right hand side (2nd one) looking from the road, at 11m there
was a good depth of around 8 ft, and after a slow start, by slowly
introducing some bait & fishing sweetcorn at full depth
produced about 12 small carp (Commons) to 2lb and a few crucians, small
tench, skimmers & roach.
Loads of leaves on the surface did
hamper progress somewhat, but I ended up with 20lb of v healthy fish
that gave a good account of themselves on light elastic and rigs.
Some larger fish did show
themselves on the furthest side from the road, so I would like to try
there next time.
Really enjoyed the day, just a
shame the photos aren't too good.

Bath Pool....this was my first visit
to a bmac water as I've only been a member for 3 weeks. I decided to
take a trip to Bath Pool in Lymm. When I got there I thought
to
myself this is a brilliant little pool. After plumbing my depth near
the lilles I fished double corn on a 14 hook, feeding little and often
with pellets and corn. I was getting bites, in the first 1/2 hour I had
2 brilliant Roach, about 1 pound, in brilliant condition. Then I
realised I wasn't geting bites so I switched over to maggots (tripple
red) on a 14 hook. I had 2 hen Tench in brilliant condition about 4
pound, and also a couple of bream, about 2 pound. Then I realised again
that I wasn't getting bites when suddenly my float went strait under. I
was into it for about 7 mins. It was a common carp, in
brilliant
condition, about 5 pound which thought double its size. So
that
was my day. I really enjoyed it and i want to say that it is
really well looked after and is a very clean environment.
hope I
go there again. Tom G.
