Presentations, full story
Garbolino
general manager Darren Cox was the guest of honour at Bay Malton Border
Fisheries junior presentation event. Throughout the day Darren was on
hand to answer club member’s questions and pass on angling tips as well
as to present some of the trophies in the evening.
Bay
Malton AC is one of the most progressive angling clubs in the country
and in recognition of their ongoing commitment to angling development
they were presented with their Clubmark certification by Darren Birch
of the ADB and also received a BDAA Gold award for their disabled
angling facilities. BMAC secretary Stewart Godber said, “It is great
for the club to receive these certificates it reflects the work that we
put into running the fishery and the commitment of our onsite angling
coach Dave Smith to our junior development plan. Clubmark accreditation
puts us up with the best of the best clubs from all sport across the
country and assures members we are working to the highest standards.”
Get
Hooked on Fishing junior Hollie Smith took full advantage of having
England international Darren Cox on the bank by getting some one on one
coaching from him on how to fish shallow for silvers and once the
coaching was over Darren went on to give a master class to all on how
to fish the pole shallow. By the end of the session the entire fishery
was buzzing with news that Darren was catching fish at a phenomenal
rate and anglers were popping round to see the master at work.
Staffordshire
match angling legend Jeff Moors was also on hand during the
presentation despite his battle with terminal cancer to present two
trophies named in his honour that recognised young match anglers
achievements and young anglers who have consistently promoted the sport
of angling.
