Specimen Lake Tench
Robbies Pool F’1S
A further investment on the remaining waters will take place later on in the year.

Negotiations are ongoing with a new landowner regarding a new water for the club

Grange Fishery Closed

The owner has rented the adjacent field to a farmer, who has been spreading slurry over the field and due to the winter weather conditions it as got into the pool.I have spent today with the owner,Environment agency and the farmer trying to resolve the problem. The oxygen levels are low and the nitrate levels are high causing stress to the fish. The farmer is hiring pumping equipment to try and get the problem sorted.
The water level is extremely high and the entrance, car park is not accessible.
The pool is closed now until it gets sorted by the owner. Under no circumstances is anyone allowed at this water so please stay away and let the owner get on with sorting this out.
I will keep everyone up to date as and when anything arises.

Thanks
Dave

River Dane Trout 2016

I would love to share this photo with you of a massive 9lb 15oz brown
trout that i caught on the River Dane on fri 15th of july. I was fishing for barbel
on the manor farm stretch with a feeder full of ground bait and a hair rigged worm.
It is by far the biggest trout I have caught and it was really good to see it go back
after a 20 to 30 minute rest in the net. I didn’t catch any barbel by the way but as
you can imagine this fish more than made up for it.
