Jimmy’s pool
Formally known by its working title of Blacden Hall Pool. Jimmy’s has been officially named after the farmer whose field in lies in. The existence of the pool is solely down to Pete Merry and the Water Management Team.
With the considerable assistance from Elaine Merry who has helped in planting and keeping the water weed free. The pool started life as a soggy patch at the bottom of a field. The idea was to make an easily accessible and safe pool. With pleasant surroundings Suitable for young and old alike. To add value for the members. Using were possible recycled materials. It was dug out by Pete and the team and allowed to fill naturally. The stages were then put in. These are some of those reclaimed form waters we no longer have. The planting of the margins has been done using plants donated to the club. Finally some stock was put in by the Water Development Team. More stock is due to be added soon.
The Water Managment Team hope you enjoy fishing Jimmy’s. And would appreciate your comments.
