Little Readsmere

Peter Shuff and Bob Campbell fished Little Readsmere pool on
Sunday 23/7/06. Fishing from 4:30pm till 8pm Bob fished in the
round basin with the waggler into the centre of the pool at a
depth about 4ft. Feeding corn and meat for about an ninety
minutes with no results he changed over to maggot with instant
results catching plenty or small Rudd and Perch. Bob then hit
into a big fish and struggled to keep it away from the reads. He
played the fish for about 5 minutes. With 2lb bottom and size 18
hook the fish found a small snag to the right of his peg a
snapped him. Bob retackled with heavy line and started fishing
again without any bites. He then decided to scale down to 2lb
line and a size 18 hook and as soon as his float is back in the
water the Rudd and Perch are back but no big fish. Peter fished
one of the field pegs at 6m out into a nice bed of lilies.
Fishing in only 4in of water he had Perch up to 10oz and a couple
of Rudd about 6oz. He also lost one big fish under the lilies
