Water reports, Longbarn
Longbarn
Sat. September 26th 2009
Alan, Daz and I arrived at the venue for the first time at about
8.00am. It is a good size water with some large pegs. On testing the
depth we found the side we were fishing on was only about 600mm deep
but it was a bite a cast on maggot we were getting small roach Rudd and
small Bream (6oz being a good fish), the bites were slower on pellet
but the stamp of fish was slightly better. The best fish of the day
went to Alan who had a Bream of 3lb. The main drawback of the venue is
the litter and remains of campfires at nearly every peg I do not
believe this is the work of members as all our other waters are
immaculate. The sale of day tickets may be a factor as some of the
people who have fished this water do not seem to have any respect for
it.
